3D Printing


The 2014 edition of VICENZAORO Winter closed in the name of growth. The Hall of gold and jewelry most important in the world, organized by Vicenza Fair, from 18 to 23 January 2014, for the first time under the chairmanship of Matteo Marzotto, reported very positive numbers. In the six days of the Show, the 9 pavilions and 26 thousand square meters of net area have welcomed 1500 brand, touching a total of thirty thousand visitors.

A Fair that while the solidity of the Italian market, takes on a more international profile thanks to the decisive increase of foreign exhibitors and the entry of some new top brand. There is a growth of foreign operators (operators from Turkey, Russian-speaking, many from the Middle East and the Gulf and American), reaching quota 7763, marking an increase of 5.7% compared to last year and approaching the number of Italian operators (8653). Important is also the entrance of 11 new countries to VICENZAORO . All positive signs that are reflected in the satisfaction of the operators for the concrete business opportunities started and for the large number of orders received as a result of the fair.



Great success during the fair, even for the Around the future: 3D printing for the jewel“, edited by Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewellery Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan. The exhibition is the result of an extensive research of this university for Vicenza Fair on new materials and new technologies for the jewel. The work of 36 designers exhibited during the days of the Fair were example of how the technique of 3D printing will affect not only the design phase of the designer, but also the production process of the company that will decrease costs.
